Jackie Foster – Founding Trustee/CEO

CURRENT:
In 2007 I started a swim school company, employing staff and hands on teaching children to swim around the Auckland region. A very fulfilling occupation and something that I love and enjoy so much. Also, in my current role as CEO of Social Justice Aotearoa, giving to and supporting the wider vulnerable community of our country.

CAREER:
Starting from humble beginnings working for my beloved grandfather in his tea rooms/fish and chip shop in the Coromandel. From 2000 I worked for Millennium Institute of Sport & Health, a national leader in exercise science, public health, and nutrition until I became self-employed in 2007.

PERSONAL LIFE:
I am a mother of two, enjoying spending time with friends and family. I am still actively involved in fitness and swimming on a personal level. Grandmother of one, relishing watching my granddaughter grow and enjoy life.

I created Social Justice Aotearoa having watched a family member go through a judicial process that simply was wrong. This made me realise just how damaging our system can be when the truth is not being told. I am really enjoying engaging with the public and politicians alike and look forward to creating change for the whole of Aotearoa in the years ahead.
